Elevate Home

This beautiful North Perth home had an optimal north-facing orientation for the existing kitchen and dining areas, but it lacked sufficient natural light and a meaningful connection to the garden. By extending the living spaces and remodelling the roof form we achieved a much greater sense of light and connectivity to the outdoor living.
The dining area features 3.2m high double-glazed, steel-framed windows and French doors, providing excellent thermal comfort and improving the home’s solar passive qualities.
This project is a great example of enhancing a character home with modern amenities, including a new ensuite, a more functional and welcoming kitchen and dining zone and an efficient laundry behind pocket doors. By preserving the original structure of the home and its embodied energy, we ensured a more sustainable outcome.
Statement materials, such as the pink Patagonia quartzite are juxtaposed with timber laminate cabinets to create a perfectly relaxed yet elevated interior palette.
